Meet Rocky, a 4 year old owner surrender. Rocky has lead a charmed life but recent changes in his owners life circumstances have lead her to make the difficult choice to surrender Rocky. He’s a very handsome and well adjusted boy. He gets along with other dogs and has no major medical problems. He does have a congenital issue with his eye lids in that that do not close completely, this will require monitoring and treatment if infection develops.
Update:
Well Rocky only gets along with some dogs. We had to remove him from his first foster home for being a bullie to his foster brother. It turns out that his eye issue is dry eye and requires daily eye drops. He is at our vet now getting neutered and the “once over”. Hopefully, getting rid of the family jewels will allow Rocky to enjoy the company of all other dogs. We are going to try him in a foster home with a female bullie…bet he will like that much better. He is truly one of the most beautiful boys I’ve seen. He won’t be in rescue long, so if you have an application on file and would like to be considered for adoption of Rocky send us an e-mail and let us know. At this point we are going to recommend that he go to an only dog home…but this may change after his surgery.
