6/9/16: Please welcome Posey! Posey was found as a stray and ended up in the Gwinnett County Animal Control shelter a few days ago. Her stray hold was up today and she is now in the care of GEBR. She has entropian, corneal ulcers, ear infections (in both ears), cherry eyes, and skin issues. Skin scraping was negative for demodex mange. It also looks like someone put motor oil all over her. She also needs to be spayed. She has dry eye and will need prescription eye drops for life.
She is four years old. We do not know at this time if she likes dogs, cats or young children.
Update 6/27/16: Posey had her surgery today and all went well. She was spayed and had her cherry eye repaired. She has been a little grumpy with the staff at the clinic but we think once she is settled in her foster home and done with all of her vet care she will be one happy girl.
Update 6/30/16: Posey managed to open her spay incision. She is ok but Dr Ross had to close her up again. She is leaking some fluid so she will spend a few more days at the clinic so they can monitor her.
Update 7/8/16: Posey moved into her foster home on Wednesday. She is feeling great and loving life in her foster home. She is getting to know her foster sister and likes her so far and she met her foster parents grandchild and seems to enjoy her too.
June 24, 2021 – Posey crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Please keep her family in your thoughts
Rest In Peace Posey
