Phoebe

1/3/25 – Please welcome Phoebe! Phoebe was picked up as a stray and turned over to us by the shelter. She has a pretty severe double ear infection t and her ear canals are closed up some. We will treat with steroids and ear medication and visit the dermatologist for a long term plan to see if we can avoid TECA surgery.

1/29/25 – Phoebe had surgery today and all went well. She was spayed and had her nares widened.

2/20/25 – Phoebe saw the dermatologist today. We are going to continue steroids a bit longer to see if we can continue to open her ear canals. She also has special ear medication to get clear up the yeast and bacteria and we are starting a diet trial to eliminate any possible food allergies.

3/5/25 – Phoebe had a recheck with the dermatologist today. The steroids and ear medications are working. We are transitioning her to a different ear medication for long term use and maintenance. She will need to continue to see the dermatologist for the time being so that we can keep an eye on her ears and allergies.
