5/28/15: Please welcome Frankie! Frankie’s original owners had to move away with the military so they left Frankie in GA with some friends. Unfortunately these friends have not taken great care of Frankie. His owners asked us if we could take him into rescue and find him a family that will commit to taking care of him for the rest of his life. He needs vaccinations, his teeth cleaned and to be neutered. He also has a skin and ear infection along with some drainage from his nose.
He is 4 1/2 years old. He likes dogs and children. We do not know if he likes cats.
He will be ready for adoption after he recovers from surgery and his skin infection clears up. We will update as we learn more about him.
Update 6/1/15: Frankie had surgery today. He was neutered, had some teeth pulled, had the rest of his teeth cleaned and had his palate shortened. He still has some drainage from his nose but less that last week. His ears and skin are already improving on his medications.
Update 6/23/15: Frankie had a hard two weeks after surgery. He could not keep any food down. But that is in the past and he is feeling better now. We are still treating his ears and skin. He drags his paws across the ground when he walks. At this point we are not sure if it is habit, orthopedic or neurological but we will figure it out. For now he is on medication and wears boots when he is outside to protect the paws of his paws.
