4/7/16: Please welcome Barkley! He was recently surrendered to the Humane Society and adopted to a local family. A few days after being with his new family he began having seizures. His new family quickly realized his condition was not something they could handle so they contacted us to take care of him. We began anti seizure medication and he has had very few seizures since he began taking it. He will need to have his blood work and liver values checked again after being on the medication for four weeks. At this time we do not know if he will continue to have seizures or if the current medication alone will keep them away. He is already neutered and up to date on his shots.
He is one year old. He likes other dogs but is very playful and a little dominant right now. We do not know if he likes cats. He has spent a short period of time with children and did OK with them.
He will be available for adoption after his check up in one month.
Update 5/5/16: Barkley had his bloodwork and liver vales checked. His blood work looks good and his liver vales do to. He is on the correct dose of medication and will remain on that for life.
Update 5/13/16: Barkley has been adopted. Congrats Barkley and Laure!
