Gilbert – October 23rd, 2015

7/31/13: Please welcome Gilbert!  He joined our group yesterday from AL.  He is already neutered and HW negative.  He does have some pretty bad skin and eye issues, but nothing we can’t handle.  He is safe and at our vet.  He will spend two weeks in shelter quarantine then he will be moved to a foster home.  Dr Ross will address all of his medical needs while he is there.

Gilbert is four years old.

We do not know if he likes cats or kids.  We will update as we know more.

Update 8/26/13: Gilbert was released from the vet and moved into his foster home. He is sharing the place with his foster brother Kramer and so far they are getting along just fine! He does have dry eye in his right eye and will remain on eye drops for the rest of his life. He still has a bit of a skin infection but is taking antibiotics. Dr Ross also sent a sample in to be biopsied and did allergy testing.

Update 10/1/13: Gilbert’s allergy test came back and he is allergic to pretty much everything!  We started him on Zyrtec to help with his environmental allergies.  We  discovered that he is allergic to salmon so we switched him to a lamb based food.

Gilbert is ready for adoption!

Update 7/22/14:  Gilbert finally picked out his forever mom!  Congrats Gilbert and Lindsay!

October 23, 2015 Gilbert, who was rescued in July 2013, crossed the rainbow bridge today.  He got to spend the last two years knowing love and being spoiled.

Please keep his mother Lindsay and his sister Sassy in your thoughts.

Rest in Peace Gilbert
