Please welcome Oliver to GEBR! Oliver joins us with his sister Olivia. Both dogs were owner surreners to Clayton County Humane Society.

Both are at Riverside Animal Hospital now and will remain there for at least two weeks. Dr Ross will address the obvious skin issues along with neuter.

We believe Oliver is 6-7, but we will know more after Dr Ross examines him.

Update 6/5/12: Oliver’s ears are horrible. We sent cultures to be sure he’s on the correct drug. It may take more than medicine to correct these infections. He has dry eye and will begin Tacrolimus.

Update 7/17/12: OLiver has been neutered and moved to a foster home. He is offically ready for adoption.

We would love to keep him and Oliva together so please let us know if you have room for two!

Update 7/28/12: Oliver and Olivia have beed adopted together! Congrats Oliver, Olivia, Noel and Kristin!

Prissy’s Memorial

Prissy was the cherished pet of Gary, Kelley and Ava Hollowell, adopted 2 years ago from Adopt-a-Bull Rescue in FL. Prissy was the first personal rescue by GEBR director, Ruthann Phillips, well before GEBR was a reality.

Under Kelley’s care, Prissy blossomed into a beautiful girl. She had a wonderful life filled with love and security, something she hadn’t known for much of her life. Prissy was instrumental in bringing Kelley, Ruthann and Jenn with Florida English Bulldog Rescue together, leading to the creation of Georgia English Bulldog Rescue and The Bully Ball. Prissy had no idea how important she was, she only cared that she had love, a warm place to lay her head, and a full belly. She has helped hundreds of other bulldogs reach safety and enabled us to provide much needed medical care.

Prissy succumbed to a malignancy that hid well and progressed quickly. She was with her loved ones, holding her in their arms as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Even though Prissy is gone, her legacy will live on through GEBR and The Bully Ball. Hundreds, maybe even thousands of bulldogs will benefit from her very existence well after all of us have crossed the bridge. Prissy, we miss you every day, there is a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.

Our Mission

Our mission is to first ensure the safety and well-being of all English Bulldogs that we take in and second to educate the public in the care of English Bulldogs. We rehabilitate and re-home English Bulldogs that are sick, neglected, abused, or injured. Moreover, we provide a safe alternative to shelters for owners that are faced with the already difficult decision of finding a new home for their English bulldog. We have rescued over 150 bulldogs since forming in 2009. We have approximately 20-25 ENGLISH BULLDOGS in foster care at any given time. At this time, we are unable to offer owners financial help when faced with a medical or surgical emergency. We hope to be able to offer some assistance in the future.

How You Can Help

Georgia English Bulldog Rescue, Inc., (GEBR) was incorporated in January 2009 as a non-stock, non-profit corporation with Federal Tax Exemption as a public charity under Section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Please we need DONATIONS as our Vet bills are staggering. We also need volunteers, supplies, and support for the care, treatment, transportation, and administrative needs of the rescued English Bulldogs that we take into our organization. We rely solely on your generous donations. 100% of our donations go to the care and treatment of all of the English Bulldog rescues we take in.
