Willie – September 16, 2020

6/15/20: Please welcome Willie! He joins us from Walker County Animal Services. His owner surrendered him to the shelter because he was no longer able to care for him. He was dropped off with a female dog that he did get along with, but we are not certain yet if he cares for other dogs. He needs to be neutered and unfortunately, he is heartworm positive. Once he recovers from surgery, he will undergo heartworm treatment.

6/16/20: Willie had his surgery today and all went well. He was neutered, had is teeth clean and had a tumor removed from his mouth.

6/29/20: Willie started his heartworm treatment today.

7/23/20:  Willie completed his heartworm treatment today and he has been cleared for adoption.  Willie has a sialocele. Basically a huge pocket of saliva visible on his neck. It’s not bothering him or causing him an issues that we have noticed.

September 16, 2020:  Willie crossed over the Rainbow Bridge today.  Rest In Peace Willie.
