Valentino

12/15/20: Please welcome Valentino. His most recent owner purchased him from someone so that he could get proper vet care. It turned out to be a little more than he could handle so he asked us to take him into rescue to help him. He has a severe skin infection, mange, an ear infection, and he has been diagnosed with dry eye. He needs be neutered and have his palate shorted. We are treating his mange and skin infection with oral medications and he will be getting medicated baths twice a week once he get his neuter surgery stiches removed.

12/18/20: Valentino had his surgery today and all went well.

12/22/20: Valentino developed a scrotal hematoma, and we performed a scrotal ablation surgery this morning. He sees the vet again in two weeks to have his stitches removed and to have his skin looked at again.

1/6/21: Valentino saw the vet today for a recheck on his skin. Things are looking better but his infection is not cleared up yet. We are adding some additional oral medication and will start medicated baths twice a week.

1/27/21: Valentino saw the vet today for a recheck on his skin. He mange is gone but we are still treating the skin infection. He will be on oral medication and medicated baths for a few more weeks until his next recheck.

3/12/21: Unfortunately Valentino has been diagnosed with MRSA today.  We are trying a new treatment plan for him.  He will see the vet again in two weeks for a recheck.  He will be adopted by his foster mom once he is cleared for adoption.
