12/22/15: Please welcome Uno! Uno’s owners dropped him off at the shelter because they no longer want to care for him. A friends from another rescue pulled him from the shelter. They will keep him safe until after the holidays then we will move him to our vet. They have vaccinated him already but he will need to be neutered. He is pretty skinny but we will get him to a healthy weight soon.
He is five years old. He likes dogs and children. We do not know if he likes cats.
Update 1/6/16: Uno moved into his foster home today. We need to pack on a few pounds before we can do his surgery. He also has a respiratory infection that we are trying to clear up. He has been coughing a little blood. We did an ultrasound to rule out any issues. Unfortunately we found out he is also heartworm positive. Once he recovers from neuter surgery he will spend a few weeks at the vet clinic for heartworm treatment.
Update 1/29/16: Uno was neutered today and all went well!
Update 2/12/16: Uno started his heartworm treatment today.
Update 3/12/16: Uno completed his heartworm treatment today and moved into his foster home.
Update 3/13/16: Uno is having a hard time with post heartworm treatment. He was admitted to GVS today for observation.
Update 3/16/16: Uno has been released from GVS and is back at his foster home. We will continue medications as directed by the specialist.
Update 4/16/16: Uno just finished his medications and is doing great!
