Snort – February, 2011

Several years ago Snort had a home with a soldier.  On the day he was to be deployed, while Snort was still a pupppy,  he took Snort to the pound.  Fortunately for Snort, a fine man named Al was there to rescue him on the day he was surrendered to the pound.  He lived a charmed life as the loyal pet to Al for 12 years.  Last summer, Al was diagnosed with cancer and within a few weeks succumbed to the disease.  Al’s main concern during his hospitalization was that his best friend be taken care of for the rest of his life. Close friends agreed to bring Snort into their home and shortly after Al’s death, Snort was transported to Georgia to live with the Edward’s family.   Snort was 80 pound of sweetness and the Edward’s family enjoyed every minute they spent with Snort.    Sadly, Snort missed Al very much and in Feb, 2011 went to join his best friend at the Rainbow Bridge.

Our family feels lucky to have had the priviledge of caring for Snort during the last 6 months, he made us laugh everyday.  We miss him,  it still hurts to come home and not have him greet us at the door.
