12/8/22 – Please welcome Maizy! Maizy’s owner/breeder turned her over to the shelter who turned her over to us. We believe she was only used for breeding and didn’t have any vet care or much human attention. She was scared and reactive with the shelter staff while there but was extremely happy and friendly once she left the shelter. She has been diagnosed with dry eye, an ear infection and has an upper respiratory infection. She will have her surgery once her raspatory infection clears up.
12/20/22 – Maizy had her surgery today and all went well. She was spayed, had her palate shortened, had her saccules removed, had her nares winded, had entropion surgery on both upper and lower lids and had a mammary mass removed.
5/4/23 – Maizy has been adopted. Congrats Maizy and Buchanan family!

likes: being with her people and other dogs, toys, soft blankets, cuddling on the couch, going for walk
dislikes: not being with her people
ideal home: She would prefer to be in a home with no other dogs and one with a human that works from home she can spend all of her time with them. She would love a place with a fenced back yard so she can run around and play with her human (weather permitting) and an owner than will take her on walks. A home that will not crate her when they are not home. She has some separation anxiety that we are working though.
