11/23/20: Please welcome Lucy Michelle! Her owner is no longer able to give her the care and attention she needs, so they asked us to find her a new home. She needs to be spayed, have her teeth cleaned and have a large mass removed.
11/24/20: Lucy Michelle had surgery today to have her mass removed. All went well! We were also able to clean her teeth but there was not enough time to spay her as well. We didn’t want her under anesthesia for too long. She will have a second surgery in a few weeks once she recovers. We have sent the mass off to be tested and expect to have the biopsy results in a week or so.
12/2/20: Lucy Michelle’s mass is benign! Unfortunately we did find another small mass that we will likely remove during her next surgery when she is spayed. She also has a slight limp so we will x-ray her legs so we can have a better understanding of what is going on with her and how to treat moving forward.
12/11/20: Lucy Michelle had her surgery today and all went well. She was spayed and had to small messes removed. She is struggling a little with arthritis her back legs so we added joint supplements and arthritis medication. She will see the orthopedic specialist in a few weeks for a consultation.
1/25/21: Lucy Michelle does have a luxating patella in her right leg. We will be performing corrective surgery for this soon.
6/15/21 – Lucy Michelle has been adopted. Congrats Lucy Michelle, Jimmy and Ana!
