Hooch – May 20th 2021

Hooch is a sweet 2 1/2 year old neutered male. Hooch was an owner surrender to the Beaufort Co. SC Animal Shelter several months ago. He was fostered and was thought to be adopted by his foster family until there were some changes in the home. Hooch was returned to the shelter. He’s been there since early June, waiting for the right forever home. The shelter staff decided that they would try and find a SC bulldog rescue to take him…there is none. They recently began looking in GA for help. We got the call and within 4 days, Hooch was ATL bound.

Update:

Hooch is a healthy, happy boy who loves to play, particularly with other dogs. He lived with another dog in his foster home without problems. On arrival from the shelter he had no significant problems but on further inspection there did appear to be a few areas of skin irritation….nothing that a food change(to grain free) can’t handle. As you might notice, Hooch has funny looking ears. Not all bulldogs have “rose ears” naturally. In fact a lot of bulldogs must have their ears glued into the conformational correct position. No one bothered to do this for Hooch. No matter, he’s still a cutiepatootie. He will need some work on a leash (he pulls) and does still have puppy exuberance. Hooch has been known to jump, so placement with small children would not be appropriate.

May 20, 2021 – Hooch crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.  Please keep his family in your thoughts

Rest In Peace Hooch
