Herschel – February 14th, 2017

6/9/16:  Please welcome Herschel!  His most recently owners who have had him for the past to years are no longer able to care for him due to their medical issues.  Thank you Susan, Tyrus and Cindy for getting him into rescue.  He was a little upset with all of the changes but by the following morning he was super sweet and grateful.  He will have a full exam by Dr Rush this week but at first glance we know he is having some vision issues and he needs to be neutered.  We do know he has not seen a vet in some time and that he has been living outside since February. He is five years old.  He may not like other dogs but we will evaluate him.  We are told he does not like young children. We do not know if he likes cats.

Update 8/16/16:  Herschel was neutered today and all went well.  His vision is fine!  He was diagnosed with dry eye and will be on prescription eye drops for the reminder of his life.  We are treating a skin infection and an eye infection.

Update 8/23/16:  Herschel moved into his foster home today.  He is not living with any other dogs but he will be going to work with his foster mom and get to spend his days with a french bulldog.  We will see how he likes her.
