5/3/24 – Please welcome Gizmo! Gizmo was born today and turned over to the rescue by his breeder because of a cleft lip and palate. He is under the care of Melissa who will be feed tubing him around the clock for the next few weeks.
8/16/24 – Gizmo has been thriving the past few weeks and has been finally able to start getting his puppy vaccines. Things were touch and go for a while there but Melissa was able to keep him alive and get him strong and healthy. We will move forward with cleft palate repair surgery in a few months when he is old enough.
3/10/25 – Gizmo had surgery today and all went well! He had his cleft palate repaired, two teeth extracted and he was neutered. The cleft went from the front of his mouth where the two teeth where extracted from through his entire hard cleft and all the way down to his soft palate. He will be on strict crate rest and only eating soft food for the next month.
3/24/25 – Gizmo had his two-week post-surgery checkup and all is going well. He was also adopted. Congrats Gizmo and Hayllar family!
