9/8/20: Please welcome Dixie Girl! Her owner is no longer able to give her the care and attention she needs, so they asked us to find him a new home. She is already spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. We are told she was abused in the past so we will work closely with her to help her overcome any fears or behavior issues she may have.
10/28/20: Dixie Girl saw the orthopedic specialist today for a luxating patella. She will have surgery next week to correct this.
11/8/20: Dixie Girl had knee surgery today and all went well. She will see the vet in two weeks to have the stitches removed then again in four weeks for her check up and x-ray.
1/5/21: Dixie Girl is healing well from knee surgery! She is having occasional breathing issues so we have decided to have her airway evaluated and she will likely have airway surgery soon.
1/25/21: Dixie Girl had her palate shortened today and all went well!
2/22/21: Dixie Girl is having some behavior issues so we are now working with the trainer and the vet to come up with a plan for her. We feel she will benefit from supplements along with a strict training program. She came from a home with an abusive owner so we are working through her fears and reactions. We will do everything we can to help her!
