3/22/22 – Please welcome Delilah Kay! Delilah Kay was being sold by her owner/breeder because one of he pups she gave birth to was picking fights with her. Someone purchased her and turned her over to the rescue. We believe she is about to go into heat, so we are glad she got to us before she had to have any more pups. She has a mild skin infection that we are treating with oral antibiotics.
3/23/22 – Delilah Kay had surgery today and all went well. She was spayed, had her palate shortened, had her teeth cleaned and removed a few small teeth. Her ears are a little dirty but no infection. She did have a lot of bleeding during her palate surgery so the vet will keep a close eye on her over the next few days.
3/30/22 – Delilah Kay had been vomiting a bit after surgery. We believe most of that was due to swelling from her palate surgery but we did do x-ray and it appears she has a small esophageal diverticulum. There is a small pocket in her esophagus that is trapping food and water at times, causing her to regurgitate.

We are going to keep her on regular dog food but feed her from a slow feeder elevated bowl and keep her calm for 20-30 minutes after eating. We are hopeful that this life style will prevent any major issues from having the esophageal diverticulum. Other than this she is happy, healthy and living life with her foster brother and the three kids in her foster home.
5/7/22 – Delilah Kay has been adopted. Congrats Delilah Kay and Ambernie
