Chubs – January 8th, 2020

9/10/18:  Please welcome Chubs!  His owner was no longer able to care for him so he turned him over to Chatham County Animal Control. He was pulled from the shelter, vaccinated, neutered and began treatment for an ear infection. His mouth in severely infected and he will need surgery to have have several decaying teeth removed.  He is heartworm positive and will begin his four week treatment a week after he recovers from his dental surgery. He has been diagnosed with dry eye and will be on cyclosporine prescription eye drops for life.

He is seven years old.  He likes dogs, cats and young children.

Update 9/19/18:  Chubs had dental surgery today and all went well.  He had ten decaying teeth pulled and the rest of them cleaned.  He also needs entropion surgery and to have his palate shortened at a later time.  His mouth was too infected for the vet to operate on his palate at the same time as his dental surgery today.
