Icey

4/15/25 – Please welcome Icey! Icey’s owner brought her to the shelter to surrender her. That shelter is unable to take in dogs as owner surrenders, so they gave the owner our contact information and suggest they reach out to us to surrender. Unfortunately, the owner did not reach out, instead he drove her a few miles from the shelter and left her on the side of the road. Fortunately, someone found her very quickly and contacted the shelter. The shelter was then able to connect with the owner and have them sign the dog over to us. Icey was scared and confused by all of this unnecessary activity but was happy to be safe in a home after the experience.

4/16/15 – Icey’s breathing was off labored today so we moved forward with x-rays to rule out pneumonia. She does not have pneumonia but we are going to move forward with an ultrasound to rule out other complications.

4/22/25 – Icey had an ultrasound today. The ultrasound wasn’t too concerning but the heart seems a little large which they think is odd for a young dog so we are going to consult with a cardiologist to be safe.

5/29/25 – Icey saw the cardiologist for an echo today. She has an anatomical variation that doesn’t have any real significance for her otherwise she has a normal heart.
6/12/25 – Icey had surgery today and went well! She was spayed, had her palate shortened, her tonsils removed, her nares widened and her teeth cleaned.
6/29/25 – Icey has been adopted by her foster mom. Congrats Icey and Jessica!
