10/8/20: Please welcome Doc Holliday! He was seen being through out of a car a few weeks back. A good samaritan took him in and reported him found with the local animal shelter. She was able to fatten him up a little and got him adjusted to life inside a home with people, kids and dogs. He is now with us for some much-needed medical care. He is still underweight but should not have an issue putting on pounds. We are treating him for a skin infection with oral medication. He has chronic untreated dry eye. He is almost blind due to scarring of corneas from dryness. We are going to start him on tacrolimus now and recheck his eyes in a few weeks. We will decide then if we need to switch medications and / or see the eye doctor. He will have surgery in a few days.
10/12/20: Doc Holliday had surgery today; neuter, dental cleaning, cherry eye, palate shortened, and nares widened. He will see the vet again in a few weeks to have his stitches removed and to have his eyes looked at.
11/22/20: Doc Holliday was adopted today. Congrats Doc Holliday, Amy and Joe!
