7/26/19: Please welcome James Earl Jones! He joins us from Paulding County Animal Control. His owner was located but he wanted to euthanize him. The shelter employee convinced him to surrender him so that he can join our rescue for the medical care he needs. He has a severe nose rope infection, skin infection on his neck, ear infection, tail pocket infection, dry eye, hypothyroid, and he is covered in fleas. He needs to be neutered, have his teeth cleaned, have a few decaying teeth pulled, have double cherry eye surgery, have his palate shortened, have his saccules removed and have his nostrils widened.
8/1/19: James Earl Jones had his surgery today and all went well.
8/8/19: James Earl Jones is feeling much better! But we are still treating all of his infections. He will see the vet again in a week for recheck.
8/20/19: James Earl Jones saw the vet today for a recheck. His ear, nose rope and tail pocket infections are all cleared up. For the time being we will be using daily medicated wipes on his nose rope and tail pocket to keep the infection away. He does still have an active infection on his neck that will require some additional care. He will need to see the vet again in four weeks for a recheck.
10/4/19: James Earl Jones has been adopted. Congrats James Earl Jones, Susan and Ty!
