Queenie

7/21/16: Please welcome Queenie!  Queenie belonged to a breeder that was ready to stop breeding her and could no longer care for her.  She made her way to Paths Animal Rescue in north Alabama.  Knowing that Bulldogs deserve special treatment, they  contacted us to bring her into rescue.  Thank you Don and Allison for getting her here safely.  She has beautiful healthy looking skin.  We do know she needs to be spayed, have her palate checked, have entropian surgery on both eyes and have her tail amputated.
She is more animated and active outside. In the house she is a little nervous and prefers to lay on her bed. As far as we know she has been outside for most of her life which would explain her nervousness. She does not walk on a leash.
She is four years old.  She likes dogs.  We do not know if she likes cats.  She spent a little time with two older children on her ride to GA.  She weighs 45 pounds.

Update 7/25/16: Queenie had surgery today and all went well. She was spayed, had her palate shortened, had entropian on both eyes and had her tail amputated. It was a lot for one surgery but she did great. She will rest at the clinic for a few days then move into her foster home.

Update 8/1/16: Queenie is slowly adjusting to the good life. She is pretty timid still but she is coming around. She will see Dr Rush in a week to have her surgery stitches removed.

Update 10/11/16: Queenie, now Ginger, is never leaving her couch! Her foster family made it official. Congrats Ginger and Olnhausen family.
