2/12/15: Please welcome Sweets! Sweets came into care from Florida & approximately 3 1/2 years of age. Her owners had a baby 10 days ago, and placed Sweets into a bathroom because she became excited with the baby in the swing and snapped at her or the swing.
Since Sweets has been at with the volunteer home she has seen no aggressive behavior. Sweets does try to be the dominant female in the home but gets along with male dogs, and large dogs with no issue. So we suggest she not be placed in a home with a female. Sweets is very laid back and calm temperament, & walks great on a leash with no pull. We will also recommend no children under the age of 6. We will further test her around children of all ages as she is in care.
Sweets is at Martinez Animal Hospital today receiving all her vaccines, heartworm test, entropion surgery in right eye, spay, & microchip. She will go home Friday to a Foster home.
Update 3/12/15: Sweets has been adopted! Congrats Sweets, Michael and Christine!
