8/25/22 – Please welcome Sophie Asheville! Sophie Asheville was turned over to us by a Humane Society in NC. She is suffering from a lit of skin issues and they thought it would be best if she was with a breed specific rescue. We will work on getting her skin issues under control then move forward with any needed surgery. She has been diagnosed with dry eye and will need prescription eye drops for life. She came to us eating prescription food and we will continue that for the time being.
9/27/22 – Sophie Asheville had surgery today and all went well! She was spayed, had her palate shortened, had her tonsils removed, had her nares widened, and had her teeth cleaned. She also got an allergy shot.
10/23/22 – Sophie Ashville had a recheck on her skin today. Things are looking better but not perfect yet. We are changing her oral meds and shampoo. We also did x-rays and she has one of those unfortunate bulldog confirmations. She has some hip dysplasia, arthritis and bone spurs. We are starting her on joint supplements. She will be transition off prescription food and onto grin free salmon and sweet potato.
3/1/23 – Sophie Asheville has been cleared for adoption and is looking for a dog free, young kid free home to call her own!
4/29/23 – Sophie Asheville is still searching for the perfect dog free forever home!
7/21/23 – Sophie Asheville has been adopted!
