10/26/14: Please welcome Sassy! Sassy’s most recent owner removed her from a bad home a while back. She has taken care of her up until now but they decided it was time for her to join rescue and find her forever home.
She is at our vet’s office now getting a full exam. It appears that she has a bad skin infection; she rubber herself raw. She is already spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. Dr Rush will evaluate her to see if she needs palate surgery. She is a tad bit overweight and will need to drop a few pounds.
She is around four years old. She likes dogs and kids but we do not know if she likes cats.
More info as we learn more about her.
Update 10/27/14: Sassy had surgery today. She had her palate shortened, her teeth cleaned and a few decaying teeth extracted. The area on her butt that she rubbed raw is healing already. We are currently treating an ear infection.
Update 11/2/14: Sassy moved into her foster home. She is get to hang out with Gilbert, GEBR alum. She goes back to see the vet for a recheck on her skin and ears in two weeks.
Update 12/6/14: Sassy got her final check up from Dr Rush and her foster mom made it official. Congrats Sassy, Lindsay and Gilbert!
