11/17/15: Please welcome Ralphie! Ralphie is joining us from a shelter in SC. Thanks for picking him today Maimarie! Ralphie has been picked up by animal control many times over the past few years and ending up at the shelter. This time is owner decided she was going to surrender him to the shelter to avoid paying a fine to get him back. Ralphie’s main caregiver passed away some time ago and he was left in the back yard. He didn’t like being left alone in the back yard so he escaped any chance he got. He was well known and liked around town and with the animal control officers. Other than a leg humping issue Ralphie is a big sweet boy! He appears to be healthy and already neutered. He is tall and weighs 74 pounds. He has a big head and a big tongue!
He will be five years old last this month. He has spent some time with other dogs at the shelter and has done well with them. He lived with children but we do not know there ages. He does not like cats.
Update 12/3/15: Ralphie moved into his foster home. He is pretty excited and sure does like to hump if given the opportunity. His foster parents are working on this behavior.
Update 12/12/15: Ralphie packed his bags and moved to Florida with is new family! Congrats Ralphie, Jax, Lesley and Brian!
Update 11/4/17: Please welcome Ralphie back to GEBR! His family spent much time with trainers trying to make Ralphie happy living with another dog but he never truly came around. We brought him back into rescue to find him a new family that does not have any other dogs.
Update 6/7/19: Ralphie has been adopted by his foster mom. Congrats Ralphie and Cari!
