6/19/24 – Please welcome Murphy Nash! Murphy Nash was picked up as a stray and turned over to us by the shelter. He has something odd going on with his skin, but we will look into it then move forward with surgery.
8/19/24 – Murphy Nash had surgery today and all went well. He was neutered, had his cherry eye tacked down, his palate shortened, his nares widened and a skin biopsy. We had been treating his skin with antibiotics but it was not making an impact.
9/12/24 – We got the skin biopsy result back it shows that he has mast cell tumors. We are consulting with the oncologist soon.
10/1/24 – The oncologist was ablet to do a needle biopsy one three of the mast cell tumors and confirmed they are all mast cell tumors. They are covering a good portion of his body but do not seem to be an issue at the moment. Unfortunately there is not much we can do other then palliative care.
4/1/25 – Murphy Nash is doing well but we will be seeing the oncologist again soon for a recheck to see how his tumors are progressing. He is taking daily Benadryl, supplements and regular medicated baths to keep him feeling comfortable.

What would be the ideal home for this dog? A house with other dogs would be best. He loves being part of the pack. He is a dominant little guy. He hasn’t been around any aggressive dogs so I don’t know if he would react…or run.
