8/4/26 – Please welcome Merlie! Merlie’s most recent owner got her from a family member a while back but is no longer able to care for her so she was dropped off at the local animal shelter.
8/6/26 – Merlie had surgery today and all went well! She was spayed, had her nares widened, her cherry eye tacked down and lower lid entropion surgery.

She likes watermelon as a treat, she is reluctant to try new foods, but a little encouragement goes a long way with her. We are trying new treats each day.
Dislikes? She is skittish so she does not like to be surprised
What would be the ideal home for this dog? I honestly imagine she would get along pretty much anywhere that would give her love and a spot on the couch! Merlie is very sweet and loving and shares the typical bully trait of having the zoomies one minute and then being completely chill the next minute! She is the perfect pup! She gets along well with everyone and loves to play and give love!
