Knute Rockne

6/7/21: Please welcome Knute Rockne! He was turned over to us by a breeder because of his cleft palate. He will be cared for by one of dedicated volunteers that will help nurse him back to health. He was born today. He is strong and healthy but the next three days are critical to her survival. She will be tube fed every two hours for now.

7/7/21: Knute is one month old today and doing great! He is being tube fed every few hours and should be able to transition to mush food very soon. He will have cleft palate surgery once he is four months old.

10/7/21: Knute is four months old now. He has all of his puppy shots and weighs ten pounds. He will see the specialist on Monday to have his cleft palate surgery.

10/11/21: Knute had his cleft palate surgery today and all went well. He will have a feeding tube for two weeks following surgery. Once the tube is removed, he will transition from wet food back to hard kibble over a six-week period while his cleft palate heals. We are hopeful that his first surgery is a total success and that he will not need additional revision surgeries down the road.

Knute is not available for adoption at this time.  He has a few months of recovery in front of him.

12/18/21 – Knute has been adopted.  Congrats Knute and Brenda!
