Huk –

2/22/24 – Please welcome Huk! Is in desperate need of tail amputation surgery that his owners can not afford so they turned him over to us. He has a horrible tail pocket infection that his ozzy blood and puss. We will treat with oral antibiotics for now, he is too painful and will not allow us to clean or treat the tail pocket topically. We were able to get enough of the discharge to do a culture and will change the medication if needed. He will be seeing the specialist as soon as possible for surgery.

3/1/24 – Huk had surgery today and all went well. He was neutered, had his palate shortened, his tonsil removed, his nares widened and his tail amputated. He will be on restriction for two weeks and also have a drain for the next five days.

3/5/24 – Huk has his drain removed today and seems to be healing well from his surgery.

3/12/24 – Huk has his sutures removed today and is ready for a much needed bath!

4/27/24 – Huk has been adopted.  Congrats Huk and Walker family!
