8/11/23 – Please welcome Hays! Hays was found tied to a carport with no food or water at an abandoned home after a neighbor heard him whimpering. Animal control picked him up and got him to the shelter. He does have a registered microchip but the person registered to the chip would not give permission for the microchip company to share his/her information. The shelter requested that the owner reach out to them but then never did so the shelter turned him over to us. He is hungry and emaciated and has hookworms and has an ear infection. We will recheck his blood work in a few weeks and if all looks good we will move forward with surgery then.

9/13/23 – Hays had surgery today and all went well. He was neutered, had his teeth cleaned, his palate shortened, his tonsils removed and his nares widened. He does still have an ear infection and needs to gain a few more pounds but he is feeling and looking much better then he did a month ago.

11/26/23 – Hays has been adopted. Congrats Hays and Mincey family!
