Meet Ginger II, an 18 month old female English Bulldog, rescued from a shelter in south Georgia. Ginger II was “dumped” at the shelter because
1. she wouldn’t be bred (18 months old and they were already attempting a breeding)
2. she had the audacity to injure her leg and would require surgery….surgery (that they say they couldn’t afford)
Ginger is up to date on shots and heartworm negative. She does have a little skin infection, probably staph or flea allergy and she will need to have her knee evaluated by an orthopedist. BUT, Ginger has a little weight problem and must lose a few pounds before we can even consider that prospect.
She reportedly gets along well with other dogs, cats and children.
Update 8/3/12: We recently found out that Ginger will not need knee surgery! We finalized her adoption today. Congrats Garett, Jenn, Ginger and Roxy!
May 9, 2020 – Ginger crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Please keep her family in your thoughts.
Rest In Peace Ginger
