Earl

8/5/21 – Please welcome Earl! He joins us from Fulton County Animal Control. He was picked up as a stray and when no one came looking for him he was able to join the rescue. He needs to have surgery to tack down his cheery eyes and be neutered. He is heartworm positive.

8/9/21 – Earl had surgery today and all went well. He was neutered, had his cherry eyes tacked down, had his palate shortened, has his saccules removed, had his nostrils widened, and had his teeth cleaned. He will start his fast kill heartworm treatment once he recovers from surgery.

8/19/21 – Earl started his heartworm treatment today.

9/10/21 – Earl completed his heartworm treatment today and has been cleared for adoption.

9/18/21 – Earl has a stitch from is cherry eye surgery trying to get out from under his skin. Unfortunately, his has irritated his eyeball and caused an ulcer. We will begin treatment on this today.

9/22/21 – Earl saw the vet for a recheck ion his eye ulcer and it has not cleared up yet so we will treat longer and recheck in a week.

9/30/21 – Earl’s eye ulcer is almost cleared up. We are switching to a topical ointment for treatment for the next two weeks and he will see the vet again then for another checkup.

An ideal home for him will have a playful dog, he loves to play and be goofie!

11/3/21 – Earl has been adopted by his foster parents.  Congrats Earl, Kristin and Mo
