Dolly Parton – June 26th, 2023

10/13/21 – Please welcome Dolly Parton! Dolly got picked up as a stray by animal control and when no one came looking for at the shelter she was able to join the rescue. She looks like she is rough shape, but we hope to get her feeling better soon. She has been diagnosed with dry eye, thyroid issue, crystals in her urine and she is heartworm positive. She desperately needs a dental surgery among other things. We are treating her for an upper respiratory infection now, once that clears up she can have surgery.

10/21/21 – Dolly had surgery today and things went ok. She wasn’t breathing the greatest, so we decided to cut things short and move forward with a second surgery at a later time. Today she had her palate shortened, her saccules removed, her nostrils widened, nine teeth extracted and the remaining teeth cleaned. We will see how she is feeling in a few weeks and go from there.

12/2/21 – Dolly has been feeling great so we moved forward with her second surgery today. She was spayed, had a hernia repaired and had entropion surgery on both eye lids. Once she recovers from this surgery we will make a plan for her heartworm treatment.

4/29/23 – Dolly Parton is doing great in her foster home but still searching for the perfect forever home!

June 26, 2023 – Dolly Parton crossed over the Rainbow Bridge today.  Please keep her foster family in your thoughts.

Rest In Peace Dolly Parton
