11/20/25 – Please welcome Bucky! Bucky’s most recent owner got him from someone giving him away on Next Door. His most recent owner realized owning an English Bulldog is bit harder than they expected so they reached out to us to take him in. He is now up to date on vaccines, and we are treating an ear infection. He ha been diagnosed with dry eye and will need prescription eye drops for life to treat this.
12/10/25 – Bucky had surgery today and all went well. He had his palate shortened, his left tonsil removed, his nares widened, cherry eye on his right eye tacked down, his teeth cleaned, two teeth extracted and entropion on all four lids (with extensive repair on the right lower lid)

likes kids: he is currently living with 3 and 4 year olds and seems to enjoy them

Likes? Sitting in laps, food and treats, playing with plush squeaky toys, chewing bones
Dislikes? He doesn’t like his eyedrops, but is starting to handle it better. He doesn’t seem to mind having his face folds wiped out but anything else on his face he’s a little cautious. He doesn’t like for people to take toys or bones from him, but he doesn’t seem to mind when you’re around his food or water bowls.
What would be the ideal home for this dog? Anywhere that he can get on the couch or in the bed and snuggle. If you’re sitting on the couch, he’s going to be right next to you or in your lap. He’s a good mix of snuggly couch potato, and playful and active. He’s very social and loves attention. He is strong and determined when he wants something so he will need an owner that can manage that. He likes everyone he meets so we think he will do well in just about any home.
