Asher

9/14/20: Please welcome Asher! He was turned over to Fulton County Animal Control from the local emergency clinic after his owner surrendered him after he was hit by a car. We don’t have all of the details, but we believe he was hit by a car based on the “road rash” on his face and shoulder as well as his dislocated shoulder. He will have surgery tomorrow and we will consult with our orthopedic surgeon regarding his shoulder injury. At the moment he seems stable and happy!

9/15/20: Asher was neutered today, and all went well. He is now vaccinated and on some pain medication until he can see the orthopedic surgeon. He has been diagnosed with dry eye so we have started him on lifelong prescription eye drops. We are also treating him for an old eye ulcer; hoping we can clear up some of the scar tissue on his eye. Overall, he seems happy and healthy other than the “road rash” you would not know that anything has happened to him. He looks a little funny when he walks but his injury does not slow him down one bit.

9/23/20: Asher saw the orthopedic surgeon today and he decides that Asher will not need surgery. His shoulder is dislocated but it does not bother or slow him down so putting him through surgery does not seem necessary.

10/24/20:  Asher has been adopted.  Asher and Berube family!
