Arya

4/13/19: Please welcome Arya! Her owner’s child was diagnosed with severe asthma, so they asked us to find her a new home. She needs to be spayed, have her palate shortened and have her teeth cleaned.

4/19/19: Arya had her surgery today and all went well!

6/6/19: Sweet little Arya has been at the ER since Thursday evening. Out of nowhere she was having trouble breathing so her foster parents rushed her to the ER. They immediately put her in the oxygen tank for some relief. Once she was stable enough they were able to do x-rays that showed pneumonia and some sort of mass or blockage.

6/7/19: This morning the vet sedated her for a throat exam and discovered it was not a mass (thank goodness) but swelling. Although we had no true explanation for the swelling we were happy to discover this and come up with a treatment plan. We decided to start IV steroids and keep her on oxygen until the following morning.

6/8/19: This morning they were were able to take her off of oxygen. She was tired but breathing on her own. We plan to keep her at the ER on IV fluids, IV antibiotics and IV steroids. Hopefully we can switch her to oral medications this evening. And hopefully she can go home tomorrow!

6/9/19: Arya is doing great out of oxygen and will be heading back to her foster home today! She will he going home with oral medications for the next two weeks and will see the vet again for a recheck. Thank you all for the support!

7/1/19:  Arya has been adopted by her foster parents.  Congrats Arya, Jake and Holly!
