7/26/22 – Please welcome Chato! Chato’s owner dropped him off at the shelter because he no longer had time for him. He told the shelter staff he was 12 ½ years old but we have a hard time believing that. We are not sure why he lied about him but it doesn’t matter. Our vet feels like he is more like 3 years old. We will move forward with surgery soon. He does have an ear infection and he has been diagnosed with dry eye.
8/11/22 – Chato had surgery today and all went well. He was neutered, had entropion surgery on his eye lids, he had his palate shortened, his saccules removed and his nares widened.
8/26/22 – Chato had a recheck for his ear infection today. He still has yeast in his ears so we are going to try a different medication. He will see the vet again in three weeks for a recheck.
9/10/22 – Chato has been adopted. Congrats Chato and Ellis family!
December 28, 2022 – Chato crossed over the Rainbow Bridge today. Please keep his family in your thoughts. Rest In Peace Chato

dislikes: going into his crate (crate but is fine once he’s in there; he is a little destructive if he is home alone out of his crate)
ideal home: a place with older children (just because he’s so energetic and thinks hands are chew toys), other dogs, fenced yard to run around in.
