8/9/21 – Please welcome Zelda! She joins us from the Humane Society in MS. Animal Control was called to someone’s house because of stray dog that showed up on the property. They found her under a shed in the backyard. She was infested with fleas, had really long toenails, and was extremely hot from being outside in her condition. When no one came looking for her she was able to join the rescue once her stray hold was up. She is heartworm positive. She needs to be spayed and have her airway evaluated. Once she recovers from surgery she will undergo a fast kill heartworm treatment.
8/12/21 – Zelda had surgery today and all went well. She was spayed, had her palate shortened, had her saccules removed, has her nares widened and had her teeth cleaned.
8/19/21 – Zelda started her fast kill heartworm treatment today.
9/14/21 – Zleda has completed her heartworm treatment and has been cleared for adoption.
10/8/21 – Zelda is enjoying the good life! She loves to hang out with her foster home in the yard gardening and playing with her toys.
1/17/22 – Zelda has been adopted! Congrats Zelda and Candy!
