1/22/20: Please welcome Barrymore! She joins us from Hall County Animal Control. She was picked up as a stray and when no one came looking for her she was able to join the rescue. She needs to be vaccinated, spayed, have two cherry eyes repaired, have her teeth cleaned, and possible airway surgery. She has a severe tail pocket infection and may also need her tail amputated. At the moment she is at least ten pounds overweight and we are concerned with spaying her at this current weight.
2/3/20: We determined it was necessary to move forward with surgery now. She was spayed, had her palate shortened, had her saccules removed, had one cherry eye tacked, she had a few decaying teeth extracted and the rest of her teeth cleaned, had a skin mass removed from her rear leg and had her tail amputated. She does have hyperthyroidism and will begin taking medication for this. She has been diagnosed with dry eye and will need prescription eye drops for life. She will need a few weeks to recover and still needs to lose some weight.
2/25/20: Barrymore’s ear infection is cleared up and she is healed from her surgery but she does have an infected anal gland that we are treating now.
3/19/20: Barrymore has been adopted. Congrats Barrymore, Jackie and Robert!
