Cassandra – August 2, 2017

6/2/16:  Please welcome Cassandra!  Cassandra was found as a stray and taken to the Dekalb County Animal Control shelter.  The shelter contacted us and we picked her up the moment her stray hold was up.  We know she needs to be spayed and has a large mass on her back.  She picked up a respiratory infection at the shelters.  Once that clears up she will he spayed, have her teeth cleaned and have the mass removed.  She will move into her foster home when her two weeks of shelter quarantine are up. At this time we do not know if she likes dogs, cats or young children.

Update 7/5/16:  Cassandra had her surgery today and all went well.  She was spayed, had a few teeth pulled and the rest cleaned and she had the mass on her side removed.  We are sending the mass to be tested.

Update 7/11/16:  We got the biopsy results on the mass and it is was ruptured cyst.  Cassandra moved into her foster home with two dogs and two cats; she seems to like them all.  She is also living with children over the age of 11.

Update 2/12/17:  Cassandra picked out her new mom today.  Congrats Cassandra and Lauren!

August 2, 2017:  Cassandra passed over the rainbow bridge in her sleep today.  Please keep her mom Lauren in your thoughts.  Rest in peace Cassandra.
