Nick
Meet Nick…He’s a sweet 4 1/2 month old male, CKC English Bulldog. His owner sadly had to surrender him because she had taken a new job and was having to leave the country often for business. She also mentioned that she had allergies and since purchasing Musafa (his origianl name), her allergies had gotten very [...]
Cookey
Obviously Cookey is not an English Bulldog as we were lead to believe, but we just couldn’t turn our back on her when we went to the shelter and first saw her. She was sweet, submissive and obviously very sick. Cookey had been roaming stray, and by the looks of her physical condition, she had been roaming for quite [...]

Welcome Wilbur, a 3 year old heartworm postive male, rescued from Pell City shelter in Alabama. Wilbur came in as a stray with a female. She was heartworm negative and was adopted. Angel – Medical Hold
Meet Angel, a 5 year old owner surrender that joined GEBR on 11/23/11. Angel, another female and a male were owned by an elderly woman suffering from Alzheimers and was probably a hoarder. They also lived with 4 poodles and several unsocialized cats. We don’t know much about Angels history except that she was bred [...]
PeeWee
Meet PeeWee! He’s a very sweet gentleman who, although cosmetically looks pretty good, there are tail tail (snicker) signs that he hasn’t lead a very good life. I think PeeWee is used to being ignored! The toes on his front feet are splayed and he’s not neutered….all indications that he was a stud in a [...]
Bentley

Since then, Bentley has been living in her owners home, spending much of her time alone and being cared for by her former owners daughter and a neighbor. Poor girl was very lonely; she had [...]

He has been at a private, vet run shelter for the last month for treatment of allergies and resulting skin irritation. He has apparently been in three homes in his short life, all relinquishing [...]
Wallace needs your prayers…
We need your help with prayers. Wallace who is a GEBR “Success” story went in for Palate surgery today. Unfortunately, during the pre-surgery evaluation they found an enlarged Lymph node. The biopsy indicates Lymphoma. The miracle boy faces yet another challenge. Please keep Wallace and his family in your prayers.
