Ernie – September 3rd, 2018

8/9/16:  Please welcome Ernie!  Ernie was picked up as a stray by Gwinnett County Animal Control.  His stray hold was up today and they allowed us to bring him into rescue.  We appreciate Gwinnett County Animal Control being “rescue friendly”.  He will have a full exam by Dr Ross but at first glance we can see that he has some eye issues and that he needs to be neutered.  Unfortunately he is heartworm positive.  He will begin his heartworm treatment once he recovers from surgery.

He is around six years old.  We do not know at this time if he likes dogs, cats or young children.

Update 8/30/16:  After a few weeks of battling skin infection Ernie is on the road to recovery.  He he now neutered and resting in a foster home for the next week.  He will head back to the clinic next week to start he heartworm treatment.  He will be cleared for adoption once he recovers from his heartworm treatment.

Update 11/23/16:  Ernie picked out his new parents today!  Congrats Ernie and Burbelo family!

September 3, 2018:  Ernie crossed over the Rainbow Bridge today.  Please keep his family in your thoughts.

Rest In Peace Ernie
