3/17/17: Please welcome Waylon! He joins us from Jasper County Animal Control with the help of Rescue Me GA. The vet with Rescue Me Ga took a look at him and has determined he is underweight, he has an upper respiratory infection, he has a skin infection, he has worms, he needs to be neutered, he has an enlarged prostate at the moment and he will need a consult with the orthopedic specialist for his knee. We will begin treatment for his worms and skin infection while we work on fattening him up. He will be neutered once he is healthy enough to undergo surgery.
Dr. Ross will give him a full exam to determine his age. At this time we do not know if he likes dogs, cats or young children.
Update 3/20/17: Waylon passed away in his sleep last night. We are not certain if is was a kidney issue or lepto or a combination of many things. Overall he was not a healthy dog and many things going against him. We had an ultrasound scheduled for the following day to look at his prostrate and kidneys. We wish he had found his way to us sooner.
