Fillmore – February 1, 2022

10/17/15:  Please welcome Rush!  Rush showed up at someone’s home in a small town in south Georgia one afternoon a few weeks ago.  This kind family took him in and even tracked down his original owner only to be told “keep him… we are no longer interested in him”. It turns out his original owner left him unsupervised in the back yard so Rush roamed the neighborhood. The owner then gave him to a friend who also left him unsupervised in the back yard and this is how Rush ending up with the family that contacted us.  Maureen, Ben and Taylor headed to south Georgia early this morning to pick him up and handed him off to Darlene who dropped him off at Dr Rush’s office.

He is already neutered and appears to be healthy on the outside.  We will know more after his exam on Monday.

He has been staying with a German Shepard that he enjoys, a cat that does not enjoy him and two children (ages six and one) that he really enjoys and likes to follow around.  We are told he is very sweet and he likes to give lots of kisses!

Update 10/19/15:  We believe Rush is two years old.  He had entropian surgery this morning and all went well. He tested positive for whip worms and heartworms.  He is recovering from surgery and the clinic.  In ten days he will transfer to Dr. Ross’s office for four weeks for heartworm treatment.  He will ready for adoption once he completes his heartworm treatment.

Update 11/27/15:  Rush completed his heartworm treatment and got adopted!  Congrats Rush and Kavanaugh family!

February 1, 2022 – Fillmore, formally known and Rush, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge today.  Please keep his family in your thoughts.

Rest In Peace Fillmore
